College Credit

College courses at your own pace, written and taught by faculty.

Self-paced, college-level courses with real exams, graded projects and a proctored final. Finish a course, then send an official transcript to your college. $79 a month for as many courses as you can finish, 2 at a time.

How it works

  1. Check with your college. Ask your registrar how they accept outside credit, or pick a partner college.
  2. Learn at your own pace. Lessons, worked examples and practice Challenges; ask the faculty when you're stuck.
  3. Prove what you know. Timed Milestone exams, rubric-graded Touchstones and a proctored final.
  4. Send your transcript. Free, verifiable and sent straight to your college.

Courses

The first courses are in development with our faculty. Check back soon, or create an account and we'll let you know when they open.

Built to a college standard

Faculty, not content mills

Verified faculty write every course, list their credentials, grade your projects and answer your questions.

Every outcome is assessed

Each course publishes its learning outcomes and shows which exam or project measures each one.

Exams that mean something

Question banks, a fresh selection on each try, timed Milestones and a proctored final after a photo ID check.

Records colleges can trust

Every attempt is kept. Transcripts carry your legal name, results, dates and a verification link.

Questions

Will my college accept these courses?
  • Each college decides what credit it awards. Courses with an American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendation say so on their page, with the hours, category and dates; many colleges accept ACE recommendations. Partner colleges have agreed to accept specific courses. For anything else, ask your registrar before you enroll, and use the course syllabus to show what you learned.
Have these courses been evaluated by ACE?
  • Not every course has been. A course page mentions ACE only once ACE Learning Evaluations has evaluated it and recommended credit, and only while that recommendation is valid. Every course is built to the same standard either way: faculty-written outcomes, graded exams and projects, a proctored final and complete records.
Who teaches the courses?
  • Verified faculty develop each course and stay with it: they grade the written Touchstone projects, answer your questions, and keep the content current. Their degrees and institutions are listed on each course.
How does grading work?
  • Each unit has practice Challenges, a timed Milestone exam and, in some courses, a Touchstone project. A proctored final closes the course. Milestones, Touchstones and the final count three times as much as Challenges. You pass with a 70% weighted average (some courses set a higher bar), and Touchstones need at least 50%. You get two tries at each assessment and one resubmission of each Touchstone.
How is identity checked?
  • Before the final exam you upload a government photo ID, which staff check against your name and then delete. Exams are timed, every learner gets their own selection of questions, and leaving the exam page is recorded. Your transcript states how your identity was verified.
How do I send my transcript?
  • When you pass, request a transcript and enter your college's registrar email. They get a secure link to an official record they can verify. Sending transcripts is free.
What does it cost?
  • $79 a month for unlimited courses, 2 at a time, with everything included: no textbooks or fees. Cancel whenever you like. You can try the first lessons and Challenge of any course free.
