About this calculator

Answer everyday percentage questions: what is X% of Y, what percent is one number of another, the percent increase or decrease between two values, and a price with a percentage added or removed (such as sales tax or a discount).

Formula
Percent change = new − oldold × 100
  • To remove a percentage that was added, divide by (1 + rate), not multiply by (1 − rate).
